Today we looked at, and practiced our presentation speeches.
We talked about pace, timing, and tricky vocabulary pronunciation.
We watched everybody present their speeches and talked about the good features, and things to improve.
HOMEWORK
*Language book p106 -carried over from last week
(thinking about the setting for our Wizard of Oz group writing)
This was not done by many students. you need to imagine the setting. Its your opinion about where the story should be set.
*Please practice your speeches. WE ARE PERFORMING NEXT WEEK!
-Aim to be able to read it all without stopping to remember how to say a tricky word or sentence!
Our practice today was great! Please keep a slow pace, and remember to make eye contact with the audience.
